HP just walked up to the Reverie Cafe to buy us some breakfast (eggs Benedict and a bagel with lox+accessories). It was deeeeeeelicious!
I'm taking a break from
the truly bizarre troll war on my blog
to go off shopping with HP. We're headed first over to Bargain Bank, where I will be buying some candy for the dish on my office desk. I like to keep it stocked full of chocolate. If you don't throw candy at the salespeople at regular intervals, they'll go after your leg like mad foaming weasels. And at Bargain Bank I can get higher end chocolate at ghetto prices (way to make the salespeople feel special).
Then we'll probably go next door to the Chinese restaurant supply company just to look around at cool stuff. I love that place. I never buy kitchen stuff outside of an open-stock restaurant supply house, and Chinese restaurant supply houses have THE BEST STUFF. If you've never been, I highly recommend hitting one right after a trip to Williams Sonoma. This will completely cure you of designer / chi-chi / hifalutin / foofoorah kitchen porn stores like Williams Sonoma, Crate and Barrel, the basement at Macy's, etc.
Then we'll go next door to the tapioca drink place. You get a thai ice tea but it has big black tapioca "beans" floating in it. The straw is especially wide to accommodate the big fat tapioca. Weird shit, but HP is into it (he's Chinese).
I don't know where we will go next. We have the car for three hours and really I just need to get out of the house.

Hey Dames: thanks for the comments. Comments are great to get. And yes, I'm happy about the election. This was the first election I've felt good about since 1992. It's been a long wait for sanity to come back to congress. Jenny: no bubble tea today. 😦 But we did get some dim sum which we ate in the car. mmmmmm shrimp dumplings. mmmmmm.
