Vietnam and Iraq are two totally different wars. The only things that they have in common is A. Declining public support. B. No feasible exit strategy and C. Completely incompetent leadership. The reason the Vietnam war was lost is because the SVA couldn't fight worth a damn, and the NVA was cranking out more soldiers than we could kill. It seems that over the summer the US has gone from a fighting force to basically babysitters trying to prevent these people from slaughtering eachother. This has spiraled out of control with seemingly no good exit strategy. It's almost as if the people in Iraq are worse off after the invasion, which is almost incomprehensible. Good job Bush and Co.
